What You’ll Do Here

  • Drives technical requirements for productions staff on process workflow, application, equipment, and operation matters. Utilizes an understanding of the production process to anticipate or respond to production related problems in a proactive manner.
  • Drives Lean Manufacturing methods for process improvement and problem resolution. Ensures alignment and partnering with production engineering and quality teams.
  • Establishes and continuously improves processes, procedures, and controls to ensure internal process control, quality, and environmental and safety compliance.
  • Ensures the system, equipment and operational aspects of the production process work together efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicates with the necessary internal and external resources to resolve technical issues and ensures system, equipment and procedures are current and operating effectively and efficiently.
  • Provides process improvement through automation, management tools, identification and implementation of service delivery metrics and workload measurements.
  • Uses production predictions, materials’ cost forecasts, equipment maintenance and replacement costs to support the development of the annual budget.
  • Directs the support staff necessary to maintain the entire technical infrastructure (computer systems, production equipment, and building systems) necessary to meet production requirements.
  • Directs and mentors’ technical staff and production team members in implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to departments. Develop, motivate, and guide staff.
  • Set and manage quality, efficiency, and employee performance standards.
  • Implement and manage departmental safety programs and initiatives.
  • Manage and is accountable for their department budget and monitors area performance according to the strategic plan.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Carries out supervisory duties in coaching staff, establishing goal objectives, employee relations, and day to day performance of the departments.
  • Demonstrate care and concern for the safety and health of self and others by promoting and modeling all safety rules and guidelines and ensuring safe work practices.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

The Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a production environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Formal training and demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven abilities in problem-solving and organizing.
  • Thorough understanding of productions processes.
  • Possess a broad understanding of multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly adjust and respond to seasonal / changing work demands.
  • Ability to budget and forecast accurately.
