Job summary

Cascades in Scarborough, Ontario is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a night-shift team of 10–15 hourly employees. You will ensure safe operations, hit production targets, maintain quality, and develop staff.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing with 2+ years in supervision, strong coaching and communication skills, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement. This role is on-site on a night shift from Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety and ability to promote a safety-first culture.
• Strong coaching, communication, conflict management, decision-making, and accountability skills.
• Ability to develop, support, and motivate employees while driving operational results.
• Experience managing production targets and day-to-day manufacturing activities.
• Packaging, paper, or corrugated manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, JHSC participation, SAP, or AMTECH is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10–15 hourly employees on the night shift to meet production targets and maintain quality standards.
• Ensure safe operations and enforce health and safety standards.
• Oversee two production lines for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor production performance, quality, productivity and efficiency; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Support employee training, performance management, attendance management, and development initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, shipping, maintenance, and leadership teams for seamless communication across shifts.
• Complete production reporting and administrative tasks while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Role

As a Production Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of 10 to 15 hourly employees on the night shift, ensuring safe operations, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and developing employees.

Your Scope Includes

What You Bring

You're a natural fit for Production Supervisor if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or people leadership experience
• A demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to promote a safety-first culture
• Strong coaching, communication, conflict management, decision-making, and accountability skills
• The ability to develop, support, and motivate employees while driving operational results

• Packaging, paper, or corrugated manufacturing experience is considered an asset
