  • Base salary range for a Production Supervisor is between $70,000 and $85,000 CAD annually, based on experience

At our facility in Etobicoke, you can develop your full potential sustainably by applying your expertise within the Recovery+ team as the Production Supervisor:

Safety
  • Take full ownership of safety responsibilities in alignment with Cascades’ OHS standards. Demonstrate strong leadership in health and safety and actively participate in safety training and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthy workplace by enforcing PPE use, conducting shift safety checks, correcting hazards and unsafe behaviors, and ensuring all employees are trained and competent before starting work.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, investigate and report incidents, participate in JHSC and Emergency Response Team, and communicate safety improvements to the Plant Manager.
People Management
  • Conduct semi-annual performance reviews, provide coaching and discipline as needed, and foster employee growth through training and motivation.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels to meet service goals, ensure employees are properly licensed and qualified, and support a high-performing team culture.
  • Exhibit strong leadership by managing people and performance with clarity, confidence, and fairness.
Production Management / Coordination
  • Maintain and analyze production reports, lead production meetings, and ensure daily coordination with maintenance for repairs and upkeep.
  • Monitor and uphold quality standards to meet KPI targets, and ensure compliance with production protocols.
  • Anticipate future production needs and align manpower accordingly to support growth and efficiency.
Cost Control
  • Approve and monitor overtime, manage employee timesheets in UltiPro, and ensure efficient use of labor resources.
  • Control overhead costs through careful line-item management and promote cost-effective practices.
  • Implement safety and loss prevention measures, and monitor modified duties to support employee return-to-work plans.
Inventory Control
  • Track inventory levels to ensure availability and accuracy.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipments to maintain smooth operations.
  • Supervise material movement to support production flow and minimize waste.
Administrative / Other
  • Review and sign off on A/P invoices in collaboration with the Plant Manager.
  • Respond promptly to calls and operational needs to ensure continuous support and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, and operational updates for transparency and compliance.
