Fumoir Grizzly Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate daily plant operations and translate the production plan into clear priorities. You will lead Team Leaders, allocate the workforce, and conduct daily meetings to drive performance.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with involvement in maintenance coordination and incident follow-up. A permanent position with daytime hours and growth opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in team supervision or operations management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in environments with automated production equipment or systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and results-monitoring skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable using computer tools and production monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Team Leaders; allocate workforce based on needs; run daily meetings.
• Maintain safety oversight, enforce rules, conduct floor inspections, and address hazards.
• Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, hygiene, sanitation, quality, allergen, and traceability requirements.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Technical Director to restart equipment post-maintenance and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Coordinate the plant’s daily operations and translate the production plan into clear, actionable priorities
• Adjust operations in response to unforeseen events, absences, equipment breakdowns, or changing priorities
• Ensure effective communication of operational priorities and issues

Leadership and Team Management

• Supervise, support, and develop Team Leaders
• Ensure effective workforce allocation based on production needs
• Lead daily meetings with Team Leaders
• Address performance, attendance, or conduct-related issues in collaboration with Human Resources

Production and Performance Monitoring

• Prepare production orders and ensure production data is entered and validated
• Maintain up-to-date production and loss reports
• Monitor performance indicators, analyze variances, and implement the necessary corrective actions
• Promptly communicate significant issues to the Production Manager

Occupational Health and Safety

• Act as a leader in occupational health and safety
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and safe work practices
• Conduct regular floor inspections and intervene promptly when hazardous situations are identified
• Participate in incident and near-miss investigations and follow-up

Quality and Food Safety

• Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, as well as hygiene and sanitation procedures
• Ensure compliance with quality, allergen, and traceability requirements
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team when deviations or non-conformities occur

Maintenance and Continuous Improvement

• Coordinate operational priorities with the Maintenance team and Technical Director
• Follow up on recurring issues and contribute to the safe restart of equipment after maintenance work
• Identify sources of waste and inefficiency and engage teams in finding solutions
• Ensure implemented improvements are sustained over time

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in team supervision or operations management in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in an environment with automated production equipment or systems
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-changing environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and results-monitoring skills
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Comfortable using computer tools and production monitoring systems

Assets

• Experience in the food processing industry
• Workplace first aid certification
• Functional knowledge of English or Spanish
