Why join our Avionics Production team?

As a Supervisor in the Avionics department, you will be responsible for a team of approximately fifteen unionized production employees within a matrix structure. Your role will involve assigning priorities and implementing innovative production strategies to meet delivery and quality targets set by your Manufacturing Manager while ensuring a high level of team engagement.

As a Production Supervisor, your daily responsibilities will include :

  • Organizing production activities to meet forecasts and maximize available resources.
  • Analyzing and reporting on production progress to various levels of company management.
  • Ensuring timely resolution of production issues.
  • Initiating and supporting process improvement initiatives in production.
  • Working closely with managers from other departments.
  • Implementing and maintaining "Lean Manufacturing" practices, focusing on waste-free manufacturing approaches, Six Sigma, and / or Kanban.
  • Monitoring employee performance and contributing to improvements through training programs.
  • Managing responsibilities related to labor relations and workplace issues.

To excel in this role, you must have :

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or another relevant field, or a DEC combined with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing processes and operations management, preferably in a high-tech environment such as aerospace, telecommunications, or a similar industry.
  • Experience in supervising production employees, ideally in a unionized environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of material planning and management processes (MRP).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is an asset.
