Job description

As the Production Supervisor you are responsible for supervising employees in our facility, ensuring effective operation by assigning tasks, coordinating the flow of work, and assigned projects, overseeing completion of work, and monitoring the performance of your team. Attention to detail, demonstrated supervisory abilities and proficiency in manufacturing, distribution, inventory, and warehousing processes are crucial experience for this position.

What would be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet or exceed customer SLA commitments

  • Assign task and allocate resources to ensure all staff have work aligned with priorities and goals

  • Monitor production flow and proactively address bottlenecks or delays

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including throughput, productivity, and SLA compliance

  • Communicate job expectations, provide regular feedback, and coach team members for continuous improvement

  • Ensure team adherence to quality, process, and safety standards in all device handling operations

  • Monitor employee performance and output to ensure productivity and quality standards are consistently met

  • Provide on-the-spot coaching, support and guidance to staff to improve efficiency and reduce errors

  • Document performance issues and collaborate with HR or leadership on corrective actions when necessary

  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to optimize operations

  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork and operational excellence

  • Support hiring, training and onboarding of new team members to ensure readiness and alignment with production needs

  • Troubleshoot issues that impact workflow, including system issues, delays, supply shortages or staffing gaps

  • Review power BI reports to ensure that the team/department is attaining the desired performance metrics

  • Monitor and maintain optimal staffing levels to ensure efficient operations and meet business demands

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Post-secondary degree or certificate

  • Minimum of 3-years of experience in a leadership role within a fast-pace, high-volume, manufacturing/repair environment

  • Strong knowledge and abilities with use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Proficiency with Oracle ERP systems

  • Ability to identify potential process and workflow improvements

  • Demonstrated experience with direct supervision and coaching of others

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to successfully interface with all levels of Company personnel as well as external personnel

  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with problem solving, brainstorming sessions, strategy development and conflict resolution

  • Driven, goal-oriented, never confuses effort with results

  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic assembly and logistics environment

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Work is performed in a typical warehouse environment

  • This position is very active and requires all day activity including, standing, walking, bending, kneeling and crouching

  • Requires prolonged computer use, close attention to detail and ability to interpret data

  • Requires predictable attendance with the ability to work overtime during peak season

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

  • Ability to move/lift up to 35 lbs

Pay Range:

$53,400.00 - $88,200.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
