Maple Leaf Foods in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a high-performance operations team in our food processing facility. You will emphasize safety, continuous improvement, and delivering top results in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes coordinating daily and weekly production, managing payroll and shift reports, and collaborating with FSQA, Reliability and Human Resources to drive a culture of accountability.

Compensation:$62,000 - $91,000 CAD base pay annually plus annual short-term incentive
The above compensation reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in Maple Leaf’s annual short-term incentive plan.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

• Drive a strong Food Safety and Health & Safety culture in keeping with the Maple Leaf Food Safety Promise
• Foster and maintain positive union and employee relations environments, through counselling sessions, investigations or grievance meetings as needed
• Work closely with the team members to deliver winning results to meet both daily and weekly production schedules
• Participate in audits and actively participate in daily team meetings
• Collaborate with cross functional teams such as FSQA, Reliability, and Human Resources
• Facilitate safety talks and task observations
• Responsible for daily administrative duties such as payroll, scheduling and shift reports
• Support and lead special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience
