The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of supervisory experience in a unionized setting, strong coaching and communication skills, and a solid understanding of processing equipment. Day and evening shifts may occur on rotation.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and cost-effective management of the production line to ensure high-quality finished products while maintaining safety and quality standards
Accountabilities:
Responsible for developing direct reports through coaching, effective communication and performance management
Ownership and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimize accidents through organized safety program consisting of safety inspections/follow up, crew briefings, training. Review accidents and ensure corrective actions are put in place.
Operate within the quality management program (QMP) and HACCP as well as Good Manufacturing Practices. (GMP)
Responsible for training new and existing employees in a changing work environment.
Ensure accuracy and timely reporting of hourly payroll for employees and work order process in JDE system.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Grade 12 education or equivalent.
2-4 years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized environment.
Effective coaching skills (leadership, communication, coordination, support).
Very good understanding of processing equipment.
A team leader and trainer.
Ability to work cross functionally with others to solve problems in a team environment.

Ability to work both day and evening shifts on a rotation in the future.
