Hartmann Canada, based in Brantford, Ontario, is a division of Hartmann Packaging, with over 100 years of experience. We are the North American leader in manufacturing pulp molded egg cartons.

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will lead and motivate the team to meet safety, production, quality, and waste key indicators, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Position Requirements

• 12-hour Continental shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to improve performance by motivating and recognizing team members;
• Promote safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries, providing safety leadership and enforcing safety practices;
• Translate production requirements into daily schedules and direct staff to meet KPI targets related to productivity, quality, efficiency, cost, and safety;
• Manage, train, and motivate employees through clear communication, performance appraisal, coaching, and discipline;
• Coordinate with peers and internal departments to minimize downtime and maximize quality production;
• Provide technical support and expertise to the team;
• Increase employee engagement through participation in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Ideal Candidate

• Post-secondary education in Leadership, Maintenance, or Technology with leadership experience in manufacturing;
• Willingness to learn and participate in change and continuous improvement initiatives;
• Strong communication skills for managing frontline supervisory issues in a unionized environment;
• Results-oriented, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, and building positive working relationships;
• Union experience is required.
