What You’ll Do
- Leading and supervising a team of supervisors and unionized workers to optimize safety, product quality and productivity in plant Operations
- Responsible for all plant Operations in the absence of the Operations Manager
- Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with OHS standards; that workers are protected from any hazards and such hazards are identified and controlled; and workers use the prescribed safety equipment
- Maintain and enforce quality standards including food safety (GMP) and good housekeeping protocols; support operations in customer and third‑party audits
- Develop plans to ensure annual KPI objectives are achieved for safety, product quality, efficiencies and cost; providing direction and support to continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement procedures that measurably reduce the risk of producing non‑conforming product
- Coach, develop and manage performance of direct reports, emphasizing frequent communication, feedback and promoting a high level of teamwork and engagement
- Plan the effective and efficient scheduling of labour, equipment and material resources for Converting Operations
- Lead significant production productivity and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance to Atlantic Operating Systems (AOS)
- Foster strong relationships and communication with internal and external departments and stakeholders
- Administration and application of the collective agreement and Company policies/procedures
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- Post‑secondary Degree / Diploma in a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Operations Leadership / Supervisory experience within the corrugated packaging sector is highly desired; experience in a high volume consumer goods manufacturing environment is a prerequisite
- 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing side
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, corrugated business systems (CTI and Amtech) and related systems
- Strong communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills are essential
- Ability to organize and prioritize essential tasks to achieve results

Hiring Range: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year. A candidate’s experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
