Job Description:

  1. Take an active role in changeover procedures and achieve line speed efficiencies.
  2. Perform visual quality checks of products against customer and internal specifications, including foreign materials and weight checks.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility.
  4. Adhere to individual Product Standard Operating Procedures for components and packaging materials.
  5. Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with Health and Safety requirements, including ensuring power is shut down on equipment prior to specified tasks.
  6. Package cooked or semi-cooked products on various meat production equipment.
  7. Verify Best Before Date and labels.
  8. Supply packaging lines with boxes, films, and labels.
  9. Manage inventory control of label room and staging area.
  10. Pack various meat products into trays/boxes.
  11. Operate slicing machines and weight scales when necessary.
  12. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Required Skills:

  1. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  2. Ability to work with all types of meat products, including pork.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced and cold environment (0 to 4 degrees Celsius).
  4. Ability to stand and reach for extended periods.
  5. Must be able to lift up to 25 kg.

Applicants must be 18 years or older and able to work full-time from April 1 to September 30, approximately 40 hours per week, with hours from around 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
