We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and experienced person to fill the role of Production Specialist/Installer. FASTSIGNS Center sign production area is fully equipped with top-of-the-line sign-making equipment.

Job Description

At the production table, you will be responsible for all aspects of the physical construction and assembling of signs from computer cut vinyl and wide format full color printouts, which includes proofreading and conducting quality assurance to ensure the accuracy of signs. As an Installer, you’ll play an important role in getting the finished sign or graphic in place so everyone can see it - in the ground, on a wall, on a vehicle or hanging from a ceiling. You’ll use a variety of tools to assemble, erect and hang items, both inside and out. Fear of heights is not in your vocabulary. There is a significant degree of customer interaction in this position. Professional demeanor is required, along with a customer service focus. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and who is determined to make every project his or her absolute best.

This is a Full time position 40 hrs per week.

Production Specialist Responsibilities

1. Prepare materials for application by cutting to size.
2. Weeding and masking of vinyl.
3. Apply graphics to various materials.
4. Load materials on printer and/or laminator, and print and laminate.
5. Conduct quality check on all signs before sending it to completion/customer.
6. Package materials for shipping.
7. Work on different projects simultaneously.
8. Keep the production area neat, clean and organized.
9. Arrange Shipping and Delivery with couriers and follow up.
10. Follow up on incoming orders and shipments.

Sign Installer Responsibilities (training provided to suitable candidates)

1. Work in the field performing installations to vehicles and building interiors and exteriors using a ladder or mechanical lift system.
2. Confirm the signage accurately conforms to the work order (i.e., spelling, materials, size, etc.).
3. Prepare worksite by removing unwanted signage, preparing mounting surfaces, and ensure installation area is clean and safe.
4. Follow all safety policies and procedures in the preparation and installation.
5. Use a variety of tools to assemble, erect and hang items, both inside and out.
6. Clean installation site after completed installation.
7. Ensure signs installed are correctly placed and properly aligned.
8. Perform a quality control review and take a picture of completed installation.
9. Consult with sales staff to provide accurate estimates of labor time and to set realistic deadlines.

Qualifications

1. 3+ years experience in production. Experience in sign production preferred.
2. Physically fit, able to lift large sheets and lift 80 lbs.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
4. Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions).
5. Able to use power tools.
6. Punctual, reliable, and responsible.
