Key Responsibilities

  • Work with producer to execute vision
  • Manage high quality graphics for anchor scripts and reporter packages
  • Quality check all video elements to ensure ready for air
  • Ensure usage of best video for all show elements
  • Quality check name keys and banners
  • Manage staging, lighting, and set look
  • Ensure live elements are executed cleanly
  • Work with operations staff to ensure smooth show execution in overdrive environment
  • Create fault reports for broadcast errors and work with producers and operations team to resolve issues

Critical Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a professional newsroom
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a control room
  • A track record for outstanding, concise communication in a fast-paced environment
  • Forward thinking, a creative and open-minded problem solver with experience maximizing the best use of the company’s resources
  • Strong team leader with effective people and motivational skills and a demonstrated record of success supervising staff
  • Experience with Overdrive
  • Understanding of After Effects/Motion Graphics creation
  • Familiarity with iNews and Chyron functionality
  • Knowledge of Dejero and Atlas operations

Position Type: ManagementJob Status: Temporary - Full timeJob Location: Canada : Ontario : Toronto

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
