Operating across multiple facilities totaling over 500,000 ft², Belvika is one of Canada's largest co-packers for confectionery and snack products. The company leverages extensive manual and automated processes to manage primary and secondary packaging for renowned brands.

Belvika is seeking a Manufacturing Production Shift Supervisor for its Thornmount facility in Scarborough. The supervisor will be responsible for achieving production targets, overseeing staff, and supporting continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. Flexibility to work day, afternoon, and night shifts is required. Currently, day shifts are available.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor production levels and ensure productivity targets are met within scheduled times.
• Ensure smooth shift start-up by planning staffing according to the schedule.
• Complete production declarations and postings in client ERP systems as required.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to staff on production lines, ensuring adequate staffing.
• Manage and oversee staff activities during shifts, including line change-overs.
• Develop and conduct employee training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure quality standards are maintained by communicating process changes and resolving issues.
• Coordinate with Inventory Coordinators and Line Leaders for production reconciliation, ensuring accuracy in product and packaging counts.
• Resolve production concerns and recommend productivity improvements.
• Monitor employee clock-ins and clock-outs in Dayforce for accuracy.
• Coordinate with the Production or Operations Site Manager and other departments to ensure smooth production flow and fulfillment.
• Prepare and send shift end reports on performance and progress.
• Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; college or university degree is an asset.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or co-packing, preferably in food or packaging sectors.
