Production Shift Lead - Permanent

Reporting To: Production Supervisor
Shift runs Friday to Sunday, 3 X 12-hour shifts. 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.
Position offers attractive compensation package.

Position Summary:
Assist production supervisor overseeing product repair operations, ensure efficient maintenance meets company standards. Supervise repair workers, monitor repair quality, enforce safety protocols, maintain accurate records, assign tasks, manage inventory, and coordinate with departments to achieve production goals. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Essential Duties: (Responsibilities include, but not limited to)

1. Lead, train, and supervise all operations for shift.
2. Follow and enforce all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
3. Inspect products and equipment for quality.
4. Identify and resolve complex repair issues, offering technical guidance to the team.
5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of repair materials.
6. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or leadership team.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

1. Strong leadership and supervisory skills required.
2. High school diploma or equivalent, with basic math skills required.
3. Knowledge of pallet repair processes, tools, and equipment preferred.

6. Repeated use of power tools, involving repetitive use of nail gun, hammering, and sawing.
7. Strong visual acuity to inspect product, perform detailed repair work with precision.
8. Occasionally required to climb, balance, and maneuver on uneven surfaces.
9. Work environment is susceptible to seasonal changes in temperature.
10. Exposure to dust and loud noise (hearing protection is provided).
11. Exposure to heavy equipment, moving conveyor, and heavy forklift traffic.
