Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Waterdown site, is offering a 16-month Production Planning Co-op starting May 2026. You will support WO integrity, material availability analysis, and cross-functional scheduling to ensure on-time manufacturing.

The role emphasizes data analysis, collaboration with Inventory Control and Purchasing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Business/Operations program, can engage with master schedulers, and have strong Excel/PowerBI skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a College/University level Business Program with a focus on Operations Management.
• Must be able to complete a 16 month Co-Op term starting May 2026.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing with co-op program through accredited university.
• Able to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Work Order (WO) date integrity and adjust in the system based on MRP suggestions and shortages.
• Analyze Material Availability reports and take action to ensure WOs start on time.
• Open, release and close manufacturing Work Orders while ensuring data accuracy.
• Review and execute planning responsibilities for Kanban processes.
• Collaborate with Inventory Control on material requirements kitting and movement.
• Communicate with Purchasing on component shortages for upcoming WOs.
• Monitor Point-of-Use inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly cycle counts and annual WIP counts.
• Coordinate and negotiate schedule recovery dates with Production Supervisors.
