Job Summary:
Operate injection molding machines following instructions and written requirements. Collect parts, inspect, separate and package as required per requirements. Separate and document known defective parts on required forms. Inform Supervisor or Technician when defects exceed allowable amounts.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
· Follow all safety rules and guidelines. Report any unsafe conditions or practices.
· Maintain a clean work area through-out the shift.
· Report to assigned machine on time. Always take breaks & lunch at appropriate times as instructed returning to work area promptly.
· Work with shift production leads as required.
· At start of shift read, understand, and ask questions regarding training to work instructions. If your unsure how to proceed, escalate to shift supervisor.
· Receive training by a higher-level operator and follow the operator instruction.
· Check the packaged parts before relieving the previous shift operator, report any discrepancies immediately.
· Run the mold at the standard cycle time.
· Perform visual inspections of product checking quality as trained reporting immediately any discrepancies to your lead assistant, lead, or technician.
· Record the amount of defective parts on defects scrap form. Report to the lead assistant, lead, or technician every time that the scrap is more than allowed.
· Package product according to work instructions.
· Verify labels against work order and work center.
· Help perform line clearances on their assigned work centers.
· Verify that assigned work centers have the necessary equipment and materials for the whole shift.
· Label bags, or containers of products with date, your stamp or initials accepting the product packaged is per the work instructions and quality requirements. Do not fill out labels in advance.
· At shift end, escalate any issues with your work center to shift supervisor to include in their rundown to incoming shift.
Core Competencies:
· Fluency in English: Being able to read, write, and speak is a requirement
· Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Some factory related experience but not mandatory.
Training Requirements:
· General Safety.
· GMP & Cleanliness.
· Clean room Gowning Procedure.
· Training to Work orders/work centers.
· Work instructions and SOP training
· MSDS
