Vecima Networks Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to complete electronic, mechanical and software-related production processes on components and sub-assemblies.

The role requires following best practice methods and operation sequences on live products.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or GED required.
• Typically requires at least 1 year of manufacturing assembly and test experience.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs safely.
• Intermediate computer skills: Excel and Word; able to edit Work Instructions.
• Team-oriented with good communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components in the most efficient way.
• Perform material handling of products.
• Regular use and maintenance of ESD equipment and PPE; report damages or failures.
• Participate in daily team meetings; share ideas and improvements.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.

Position Summary:

The Production Operator completes electronic, mechanical and software related production processes on components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. The incumbent will also determine and/or follow best practice methods and sequence of operations in performing these processes on live product.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Assemble electronic components in the most efficient way
• Perform material handling of products
• Regular use and maintenance of all Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), this includes daily testing as required by policy and reporting to your supervisor any damage or equipment failures
• Participate in daily team meetings and offer ideas/suggestions that contribute to meeting the performance objectives
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety

Position requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or GED
• Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of previous manufacturing assembly and test experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with high sense of urgency. Flexibility to cross train within different areas of production
• Intermediate computer skills (working knowledge of excel and word documents; can edit Work Instructions)
• Ability to lift 35lbs of weight safely
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
