Job description

Join Our Mix Prep AM Shift!

We are looking for Production Operatives to join our Mix Prep AM Shift! Hours of work will be 05:00 to 13:30 (with 2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks), Monday to Thursday.

Starting salary is £12.50 per hour with an enhanced rate of £15.63 per hour. The enhanced rate applies for hours between 20:00 and 06:00 and for hours over 37.5 per week. Our pay banding system also offers opportunities to increase this as you progress through your training! You will need to attend a Company induction day (09:00 to 15:30) before starting the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine Setup: Responsible for setting up scales and mixers at the start of each shift, ensuring they are ready for production.
  • Decanting Ingredients: Prepare various quantities of ingredients for use, ensuring they are readily available for colleagues in the Mix Prep team or production lines.
  • Weighing-out Ingredients: Accurately weigh ingredients according to recipes for our product fillings.
  • Maintaining Traceability: Ensure batch numbers for raw ingredients and mixes are correctly recorded and displayed to guarantee product safety and traceability.
  • Supplying the Production Lines: Keep production lines well-supplied throughout your shift.
  • Mixer Operation: Operate mixers to ensure high-quality mixes with even distribution of ingredients.
  • Glaze Preparation: Prepare glaze for pastry products, ensuring a consistent and attractive finish.
  • Waste Management: Minimize waste and handle disposal properly to maintain a clean, efficient environment.
  • Team Support: Work as part of a close-knit team, with support from a dedicated team leader.
  • Training Program: Participate in comprehensive training to develop your skills in food manufacturing.
