Job description

Job Title: Production Operative

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Milton team as a Production Operative. This role involves overseeing the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment used in manufacturing concrete building blocks for commercial and domestic markets.

The successful candidate will be trained in various production processes, including concrete batching, manufacturing, and packaging, as well as operating mobile plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Health & Safety:
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety for yourself and others.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and report concerns immediately.
  • Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Maintain PPE and equipment in good condition.
  • Ensure guarding is fitted and report defects.
  • Obtain permits for high-risk tasks.
  • Quality Systems:
    • Complete process control sheets daily and report quality concerns.
    • Adhere to site quality requirements.
    • Support sustainability initiatives.
  • About You:
    • Organized and committed to maintaining a clean, safe environment.
    • Willing to be trained in operating manufacturing machinery.
    • Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
    • Capable of managing varied workloads and working independently or as part of a team.
    • Literacy and Numeracy at GCSE level or equivalent.
    • Factory experience is advantageous.
