Overview

Vorteq's Operations Support staff is a vital part to the overall operations to the plant - assisting with and assigned to work in various areas of the plant, including; coating lines, slitting, material handling, and packaging. Responsibilities

  • Retrieves and transport bare coils to paint line safely without damaging material or equipment
  • Inspects coils and identifies and reports any defects
  • Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse to maintain inventory
  • Reads and interprets production schedule
  • Prepare finished coils for shipment by identifying location to pull, trim, package and band according to customer specs using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping material
  • Comply with all safety rules and guidelines

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience operating material handling equipment preferred
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to & over 50lbs
  • Function successfully in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Contribute to team efforts by communicating and working well with others
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
  • Must have VALID drivers license and RELIABLE transportation

Schedule

Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 4:00PM with Saturday rotations
