Position Summary :

The Meat Production Cutter Supervisor position is responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership of the meat and poultry production employees and operations. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Very hands on in the cutting and packaging processes.

What you’ll do :

  • Manage the daily operations of the meat processing area.
  • Cutting, cleaning, preparation and packaging of meats according to the proper specifications.
  • Maintain food safety standards and quality guidelines.
  • Ensure sanitation standards are met as it pertains to the daily operations of the processing area.
  • Develop hourly employees by providing leadership, direction, and support to assure completion of the production schedule while maintaining adherence to safety, quality, and cost considerations.
  • Responsible for shift start up and shutdown.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling and production of all orders.
  • Maintain excellent communication with all levels of the organization to ensure the order-fill process.

About you :

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of work experience in production operations required.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Working knowledge of HCCAP compliant food safety standards.
  • Understanding of meat types, cuts, and preparation methods required.
  • Ability to use knives, scales, and other tools safely and precisely.
