Our client is a national leader in full-service label printing and packaging, known for delivering high-impact solutions through flexographic and digital print technologies. With over many decades of experience, they serve a diverse client base across industries such as food and beverage, health and beauty, household, and industrial goods.

To support continued growth at their Toronto production facility, the company is seeking a hands-on and experienced Production Manager to oversee day-to-day flexographic operations, team leadership, scheduling, and materials management. This is a critical leadership role within a high-performance manufacturing environment that places a strong emphasis on quality, speed, and reliability.

Position Overview :

The Production Manager will lead the full scope of printing operations at the Toronto facility, managing staff, resources, and workflow to ensure efficient and accurate label production. This role requires a background in flexographic printing , including Mark Andy press operation , and the ability to build and maintain a high-performing team. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the Production Manager will also play a key role in production planning, material sourcing, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily operations of the flexographic production floor, ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and on-time delivery
• Manage and develop a team of operators, prepress technicians, and support staff in a fast-paced, high-volume print environment
• Coordinate scheduling of print jobs based on production capacity, client timelines, and inventory availability
• Ensure optimal setup, operation, and troubleshooting of Mark Andy flexo presses
• Lead sourcing and procurement of print materials (substrates, inks, dies, and adhesives) to meet production demands
• Monitor production KPIs (e.g., waste, downtime, quality yield) and implement performance improvements

Qualifications :

• 5–10 years of experience operating flexographic presses
• At least 2+ years in a supervisory or management capacity in a print production environment
• Deep knowledge of pressure-sensitive label production and associated materials
• Experience with scheduling and production planning
• Strong understanding of material sourcing, vendor communication, and inventory coordination
