Job Description:

The Production Manager’s primary responsibility and accountability include providing an exceptional and successful customer experience while leading and managing the workflow through effective utilization of the workforce. The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring the quality in the repair facility is maintained and delivery target dates are achieved, working in alignment with all team members to meet the repair facility’s KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  • Plan daily production schedules to maximize efficiency and maintain cycle time goals.
  • Lead production meetings to communicate priorities to staff.
  • Perform in-process quality control checks to ensure company standards are met.
  • Immediately identify and address any quality issues or production delays.
  • Perform final quality inspections prior to vehicle delivery to the customer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Production Manager ensures that customers’ vehicles are repaired on time, exceeding Gerber Collision’s quality expectations and meeting customer needs.

Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Self-motivated with decision-making skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating multi-tasking ability under pressure.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to give directions in a team environment.
  • Ability to interpret work scope from vehicle estimates or work orders.
  • Customer service orientation and strong organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle repair practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Commitment to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of Gerber Collision.

Other Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift over 50 lbs.
  • I-Car registered (working towards Gold Class certification).
