Production Manager

Job Overview

The Production Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing production in the plant to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement plans to meet quality, production, and financial goals.
  2. Assemble and manage your team for the extrusion department.
  3. Manage resources for production including labor and materials.
  4. Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
  5. Ensure all Safety, Health, and Quality standards are being met by the manufacturing team.
  6. Schedule and manage production, provide status reports to the Plant Manager, and ensure on-time delivery of products.
  7. Identify and create process and quality improvements.
  8. Forecast, set, and manage the budget and cost control programs for manufacturing.
  9. Conduct performance reviews.
  10. Participate as a safety committee member.
  11. Foster and promote a positive and safe work environment for all employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing; plastic extrusion experience preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient in MS Suite.
  • Effective leadership skills and problem-solving techniques required.
