Production Manager
Reporting to the SLT Head of Operations, the Production Manager will be responsible for the overall management of their area and across all shifts in relation to manufacturing, filling and projects. They will be part of the management team on the site that ensure smooth, efficient and compliant operational performance.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Management of the department supervisors and support staff, to deliver best in class safety, quality and production results.
Lead and motivate direct reports to embed culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing throughout the organisation.
Interfaces with the other manufacturing operations management staff/customers to ensure our quality commitments are met.
Ensure products are provided to customers on time so that product quality, yield, operating costs and process efficiencies are met.
Ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality.
Approve the instructions relating to production operations and to ensure their strict implementation.
Ensure that the production records are evaluated and signed by an authorised person before they are sent to the Quality Assurance Department.
Check the maintenance of his department, premises and equipment.
Ensure that the appropriate validations are done.
Manage area of responsibility to ensure that the GMP and GPD requirements are met and adhered to.
Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
Manage Inter-department & inter-functional relationships and optimize resources.
Develop and implement a manufacturing budget to align with the plant strategic plan.
Seeking to continuously reduce manufacturing costs through the current VIP programme ensuring current and future budgeted costs are achieved.
Actively leading the Baxter Operating System progression with the areas of responsibility.
Provide feedback, leaning and development plans for team members.
Ensure that the required initial and continuing training of his department personnel is carried out and adapted according to need.
Prioritisation of team resource to meet Company and department targets.
Key Skills And Experience
3rd level qualification, preferably in engineering discipline.
Leadership and people management.
Management experience in a GMP facility.
Financial and budget reporting.
Innovative problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
