$95-$105Drive. Lead. Make an Impact.My client is looking for an experienced manufacturing professional to oversee daily plant operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in production leadership, values quality and precision, and is passionate about team development and operational excellence.
The OpportunityYou will report directly to the Plant Manager and take full ownership of production processes across multiple fabrication stages—from fitting and welding to priming and finishing. You'll be leading a talented team of supervisors and shop leads, coordinating cross-functional efforts to ensure project deadlines are met without compromising safety or quality.
Your day-to-day will focus on optimizing production schedules, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards, and driving efficiency through data-backed performance analysis and strategic process improvements.
What You’ll DoProduction Leadership- Lead day-to-day fabrication operations, overseeing joists, beams, columns, and trusses
- Manage production schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
- Provide strong leadership to shift supervisors and fabrication leads
- Ensure adherence to welding codes, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, maintenance, and QA teams to resolve issues and optimize output
Performance & Process Optimization- Monitor key metrics such as OEE, defect rates, and first-pass yield
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost, and quality
- Plan and manage workforce and materials to support fluctuating production needs
- Maintain detailed documentation aligned with industry regulations and standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Partner with internal teams to align production activities with broader project goals
- Participate in planning meetings to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance skill sets and improve shop floor performance
What We’re Looking ForQualifications & Experience- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years in a structural or heavy industrial fabrication environment
- At least 3 years of experience managing teams in a supervisory or production leadership capacity
Technical Expertise- Experience with CNC cutting technologies and modern fabrication equipment
- Familiarity with AISC standards and production documentation requirements
Core Competencies- Proven leadership and team-building abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to read and interpret structural blueprints and shop drawings
