What you’ll do day-to-day
Downstream Machine Operator:
- Operate Tetra Pak capping and cardboard packing machines efficiently to meet production targets.
- Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operation.
- Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and packing of Tetra Pak cartons.
- Perform routine machine setup, cleaning, and changeovers for different product runs.
- Record lot codes of packaging materials using WOLF (company automated inventory management system) with RF scanner.
- Judge and record accurate details of downtime events.
- Report inefficiencies as well as any deviation to DE Lead and/or supervisor/maintenance.
- Maintain communication within the production team, and oncoming shift to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Machine Operation & Monitoring:
- Operate Tetra Pak filling machines to ensure accurate and efficient beverage filling.
- Set up, clean, and run machine according to production specifications.
- Monitor fill levels, sealing integrity, and carton alignment to maintain consistent product quality.
- Perform product changeovers and CIP/SIP (Clean-in-Place/Sterilize-in-Place) procedures.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Conduct in-process quality checks (fill weight, seal integrity, date coding, packaging defects, etc.) and maintain detailed records.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety and company standards.
- Document production data, machine performance, and quality deviations.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any non-conformities.
- Accurately record equipment parameters such as speed of machines, pressures, volume, etc.
- Maintain communication within the production team/oncoming shift to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Report inefficiencies as well as any deviation to Filler Lead and/or supervisor.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
- Identify and resolve minor mechanical and operational issues with Tetra Pak fillers.
- Assist the maintenance team with preventative maintenance and machine adjustments.
- Ensure proper cleaning of filler equipment, with applicable records.
Safety & Efficiency:
- Follow all plant safety guidelines, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Minimize waste by optimizing filling processes and reducing overfills or spillage.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient production flow.
- We work 24/7 - 12 hours shift 3.5 days a week (full-time)
Shifts:
- Night Shift Team B: Mon to Thurs 7:00pm to 7:30am
- Morning Shift Team C: Thurs to Sunday 7:00am to 7:30pm
- Night Shift Team D: Thurs to Sunday 7:00pm to 7:30am
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience as a filler operator in beverage or food manufacturing.
- Prior experience with Tetra Pak A3, Tetra Prisma, or Tetra Brik fillers is preferred.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in manufacturing is a plus).
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of automated filling and aseptic processing.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment adjustment skills.
- Understanding of PLC-controlled machines (preferred but not required).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- General:
- Ability to commute to Aurora Plant every day (Please do NOT apply if you cannot commute to Aurora).
- Candidate MUST hold work permit or PR and can work 42 hours a week. (This is a full time and not part time job)
Work Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and liquid products.
- Shift work required, including nights, weekends, and possible overtime.
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) throughout the shift.
