Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a detail-oriented quality support associate for our commissary operations. You will perform product inspections, ensure SSOP-compliant sanitation, and maintain a clean, safe production line.

The role requires adherence to GMP and health-and-safety procedures while moving products between line areas and assisting where needed. Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and are prepared to obtain Costco Food Safety Certification – Level 1 upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Costco Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required upon hire.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of products and inform production line clerk of products failing inspection.
• Clean equipment daily in accordance with SSOP standards.
• Keep the line clean and free of debris to ensure safety.
• Practice GMP, food safety, and health and safety procedures.
• Transfer products from one line area to another.
• Assist in other areas of the department as needed.
• Assists in other areas of the Commissary as necessary.

• Keeps the line clean and free of debris at all times to ensure safety.
• Responsible for practising and adhering to food safety, good manufacturing practices (GMP) and health and safety procedures.
• Transfers products from one line area to another.
• Assists in other areas of the department as needed.

Non-essential functions and tasks

• Assists in other areas of the Commissary as necessary.

Qualifications

Education/Training:High school diploma or GED preferred.

Permits/Licenses/Certifications: Costco Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required upon hire.

Experience:None.

Knowledge/Skills:Organizational skills and an eye for detail is an asset.
