Reporting to: Technical Supervisor

Qualifications:

Education: Certification of Qualifications as an Electrician

Experience: 3 years previous experience in an industrial environment is an asset.

Knowledge:

• Plant layout, production procedures and products
• Theoretical understanding of transformers
• Blueprint reading, mechanical and electrical

Skills:

• Reading, writing, listening and communication skills
• Operation and maintenance procedures
• Basic quality measurements and reporting techniques

Safety Responsibilities:

• Ensure that you work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act including but not limited to all requirements outlined in Section 28.
• Review, understand and comply with all policies and procedures in the Dresden Industrial Health and Safety Manual.
• Responsible for the implementation and ongoing performance of the EMS including its review, provision of adequate resources, determining compliance and adherence to the Environmental Policy.

Quality Responsibilities:

• Maintain quality standards on all products.
• Exercise compliance with TS 16949 standards when implementing and performing all company procedures.

General Responsibilities:

• Responsible to complete a variety of electrical and general maintenance duties.
• Preventative and corrective maintenance, wiring, removal, disassembly, installation and rebuilding of equipment controls and motors.
• Work required to be performed on the following specific systems or equipment in the Plastics Department:
• Conveyor belts
• Ongoing repair and replacement of material piping and vacuum piping
• Compressed air delivery system (running of plumbing from air compressor to equipment in the Plastics Department)
• Water services delivery system (running plumbing to equipment in the Plastics Department)
• Electrical services delivery system (running electrical to equipment in Plastics Department)
• Complete applicable reports and documentation as required.
• Follow guidelines, regulations and standards specified by Ontario Hydro (or equivalent agency).
• Ensure all documentation is completed as required.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
