This is a part-time Lead Production role located in Nisku, offering approximately 10 hours of work – with weekend work available. The position includes hands-on leadership of a small team in a highly automated soil bagging operation. Ideal for someone with production experience and mechanical aptitude, this role requires both leadership and practical skills in equipment operation. Responsibilities:
Oversee weekend soil product packaging and ensure daily production targets are met.
Operate and monitor bagging and palletizing equipment, with occasional use of forklift and Manitou telehandler.
Identify and troubleshoot production line issues or equipment bottlenecks.
Ensure final products meet quality standards before shrink-wrapping.
Lead and support a team of 3 production staff, maintaining safety and productivity.
Act as liaison between workers and upper management to communicate challenges or needs.
Track and report production metrics, including output, yield, efficiency, and downtime.
Coordinate with maintenance and management to ensure timely equipment servicing.
Qualifications:
Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Ability to operate a forklift and a Manitou telehandler.
Comfortable with hands-on work and running automated machinery.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Mechanically inclined with problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Commitment to safety and quality control.
Willing to work weekends and complete 2–3 weeks of training.
