A leading building products manufacturer in Chilliwack is seeking production labourers for their Layup Team. Responsibilities include assembling doors and managing raw materials in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality standards. All production labourers are responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations throughout the door manufacturing process. Basic duties include loading and unloading doors or raw materials, assembling, crafting, and correct movement of doors throughout the process. The Layup position is responsible for prepping raw materials, feeding, assembling doors and operating cold presses. As part of the Layup Team – each member is expected to rotate between all Layup functions for cross-coverage reasons.
The Layup department is the fastest working area of the manufacturing plant and requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment, whilst ensuring quality made doors. All team members perform constant repetitive motions and are required to stand for the entire working shift.
