Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with Vulcraft Canada Inc.'s core values.
  • Weld with MIG welding process.
  • Work collaboratively as a team member to achieve production goals.
  • Operate efficiently to reduce material losses and optimize production.
  • Use various tools including a band saw, hand grinder, or other manual and electric tools as required.
  • Accurately measure and mark the material for assembly / cutting / welding according to the plans.
  • Ensure quality standards are consistent with Vulcraft policy.
  • Interpret drawings, including weld symbols.
  • Work accurately with both the metric and imperial systems.
  • Use oxygen / acetylene torch and MIG welder.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor and/or management.
  • Communicate information during shift changes to ensure quality and production objectives are met.

Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

  • Proven and strong commitment to safety of self and others.
  • Previous experience in MIG welding process desired.
  • Able to or willing to learn to operate CNC plasma machine.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and be able to work effectively in a team.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Able to handle physical workload and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Overhead Crane and forklift certified or willing to get certified.
  • Able to or willing to learn maintenance tasks in the plant.
  • Must have basic to advance math skills.
  • Experience with using a band saw or willing to learn.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and or overtime to support operational demands.
  • Must be able to read and interpret structural plans and welding drawings.
