Job summary

Strathcona Resources Ltd in Calgary is seeking an Engineering Co-Op Student to join the Production Engineering Cold Lake Team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Production, you will support production engineering activities for Strathcona’s Cold Lake SAGD assets and work with field operations to optimize production, well design, reservoir efficiency, equipment longevity, and operating costs.

You will monitor production volumes, develop dashboards in Tableau, and assist engineers with day-to-day tasks,

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring and reporting of area production volumes.
• Work closely with field operations staff to troubleshoot well performance issues.
• Monitor well pair data quality to ensure accurate instrumentation and testing data.
• Create production, downtime, and workover dashboards in Tableau to improve team efficiency with data review and analysis.
• Assist production engineers with day-to-day requirements as needed.
• Project reviews and lookbacks.
