A leading building materials supplier in Calgary is seeking an experienced engineer to optimize production processes and ensure quality standards. Responsibilities include training junior engineers, validating shop drawings, and collaborating with stakeholders. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering and has at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. What You'll Be Doing:
Optimize new and existing production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Responsible for checking and validating production shop drawings for fabrication.
Provide training and oversight to junior engineers (E.I.T), interns, floor level operators and drafters.
Collaborate with both internal and external project stakeholders to ensure constructability and feasibility of items being produced.
What Are We Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with EIT or P Eng. certification
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD).
Ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years of related precast or other manufacturing experience.
