Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its operations headquarters in the US to be fully dedicated to serving the North American market and pursue a growth strategy across the region.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Operations Support Manager for the Calgary Ready Mix Division, the Production EIT would provide engineering, sales and technical resource support for the Calgary Team. This is a developmental role and an opportunity to gain widespread expertise within our Ready-Mix business with the ultimate goal of building a long-term career with Lafarge.
This opportunity is part of Lafarge’s New Graduate Development Path (NGDP). As part of the NGDP two-year journey, new graduates are provided with opportunities to connect with other new grads, gain exposure to various aspects of the Lafarge business, and embark on their own learning and development journey through e-learning and scheduled monthly Learning & Development sessions. The NGDP provides a head start for recently graduated individuals entering the workforce while fostering a strong sense of community within Lafarge.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- To serve as a role model in the areas of safety, environmental stewardship, leadership, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with the company’s vision and critical success factors.
- Assist in managing projects by contract specifications, ensuring our commitments are met.
- Assist contractors with product supply coordination and provide follow up to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Assisting to develop strategies and objectives for sales, pricing and profitability.
- Provide product design support for engineering, plant production and sales.
- Coordinating with sales, project managers, quality control personnel, and plant production on project details, scheduling, and problem resolution.
- Provide solutions and support specifiers, contractors and owners on assigned projects from inquiry, quotation and completion.
- Problem solving for issues that arise in the production facility and on job sites.
- Attending client project meetings and providing engineering input.
- Carry out plant and site inspections for quality assurance.
- Providing preliminary designs for budgets/estimates.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Recently obtained University Degree or College Diploma.
Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Technology.
Required Work Experience: 0–2 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry, on-site construction, or with knowledge of contract law is considered an asset.
Required Training/Certifications: Must be registered as an Engineer-in-training working towards Professional Designation.
Travel Requirements: 0-10%

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
