About the Role

As a Production Designer at Operatic, supporting our Pharmaceutical department, you’ll play a key role on our creative team in delivering high-impact design assets for leading brands. With an understanding of regulated industries, and an eye for execution, you’ll help bring bold ideas to life across digital, print, and social channels.

Working closely with our Sr. Art Director (Pharma) as well as our medical team, the ideal candidate will be essential in building visually cohesive, compliant, and high-quality work that not only meets our clients’ goals but elevates their brands.

What you’ll be doing

Client Ownership

  • Gain a deep understanding of client industries within pharma and healthcare including brands, audiences, and compliance considerations
  • Produce creative assets that align with strategic goals, brand standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring designs are built with impact and intention
  • Adapt existing creative across multiple formats and platforms while maintaining consistency and quality
  • Champion creative excellence across every client touchpoint, from social to print to internal materials

Technical Expert

  • Design and product best-in-class digital and print assets, including banner ads, social content, playbooks, signage and more
  • Work fluently in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to deliver accessible, polished, and brand-compliant creative
  • Source and edit photography, stock assets, and design elements that align with regulatory needs and brand expression
  • Apply knowledge of HTML and CSS to support the development of assets optimized for digital platforms
  • Stay up-to-date with design trends, accessibility standards, and tools that can elevate our production process
  • Identify and recommend tools, templates, or systems that enhance speed, consistency, and quality
  • Creative Problem Solving

  • Approach every brief with a critical and strategic mindset, pushing for clarity, purpose, and creative alignment
  • Seek out ways to make production workflows more efficient and impactful for both the agency and our clients
  • Proactively flag potential issues in scope, timeline, or delivery and offer constructive solutions
  • Explore new and innovative approaches to communicate ideas visually within the bounds of regulated environments
  • Work closely with accounts, medical, and the broader creative team to bring ideas to life on time and on brand
  • Communicate workload needs and proactively manage timelines and expectations
  • Provide and receive feedback with clarity, kindness, and radical candor
  • Support the agency’s own creative needs, contributing to Operatic’s internal brand presence across social and digital platforms
  • What you’ll bring to the role

  • Degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field
  • 4-6 years of professional design experience in an agency, studio, or freelance environment
  • Experience working in pharma or healthcare
  • A versatile and thoughtful portfolio that showcases a range of well-executed, brand-aligned design work
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to balance brand consistency with creative innovation
  • Ability to work calmly and accurately under tight deadlines and across multiple projects
  • A drive to develop range by learning new skills that expand your expertise
