This position contributes to the production team, ensuring goals are met safely and efficiently while adhering to all company policies. The Production Crew will process vehicles safely to produce core and scrap products, enable customer part pulls, and meet environmental standards.

Essential Functions

• Follow company policies and procedures, setting an example for the team.
• Perform de-garbage tasks : remove Freon, fluids, batteries, and other items as prescribed.
• Drain fluids : gasoline, coolant, waste oil, etc., as prescribed.
• Set and pull vehicles : position vehicles for safe customer access, clean up after, and perform other duties as prescribed.
• Field Decore : loosen mounts, remove tires and core items.
• Ground Decore : remove heater cores, copper wire, maintain the crush pad area.
• Table Decore : dismantle engines and transmissions, harvest wires, sort materials.
• Tire Dismantling : use tire machine, remove weights and stems, sort tires, prepare rims.
• Janitor duties : collect core materials, remove debris, address safety risks.
• Assist customers courteously, review logs, maintain storm water controls, assist with mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to wear PPE and follow safety practices.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, understand safety labels.
• Complete safety and environmental training.
• Work in various weather conditions.
• Automotive repair / dismantling experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with automotive parts, tools, machinery preferred.

Physical Activities

• Handle tools, move up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain facility, clean as required.
• Sufficient vision for safety.

Job Conditions

• Exposure to outdoor weather.
• Occasional chemical exposure.
