Job description

FOLKS is casually seeking a VFX Production Coordinator for upcoming episodic and feature film projects. In this role, you’ll be a central link between artists, supervisors, and production management, ensuring smooth communication, organized workflows, and timely delivery in a creative, people-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily production activities, supporting supervisors, producers, and artists.
  • Track project milestones, shot progress, and delivery schedules using ShotGrid (FLO) and other tools.
  • Manage dailies, take and distribute concise meeting notes, and maintain accurate production records.
  • Maintain up-to-date calendars, schedules, and production documentation.
  • Foster strong relationships with artists, supervisors, and department leads to ensure a productive and supportive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and with clients, ensuring a timely and accurate information flow.
  • Identify and address potential bottlenecks, proposing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Contribute to the refinement of production workflows and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with live action/VFX production pipelines; proficiency in ShotGrid (FLO) and production tracking tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of the VFX creation process and project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency with calendar management and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Legal authorization to work for any studio in Canada and be a resident of Ontario as of December 31, 2024, ideally based in Toronto. Closed work permits are not eligible for this opportunity.
  • Remote work is restricted to Ontario residents only. (No Exceptions)
