Fidelity Machine & Mould Solutions Inc. in Calgary seeks a leadership-oriented machinist supervisor to support CNC Milling and Lathe departments with daily production.

You will interpret 3D models, develop cutting strategies, program in Mastercam, review programs, and train operators while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

This role requires 5+ years in machining, a journeyman certificate or equivalent, and leadership training; ERP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education or equivalent.
• Journeyman machinist trade certificate or equivalent experience is required.
• Leadership certification or training is required.
• Criminal record check and controlled goods screening required.

Responsabilités

• Interpret 3D models and prints to develop cutting strategies and programs for machined components.
• Work with CNC Leaders to review and ensure best practice and strategy is established and being followed.
• Set up and operate or assist operators with setup of evening shift machining for production work.
• Program in Mastercam or review programs for others.
• Conduct in-process quality control measurements and record on inspection reports.
• Monitor quality, efficiency, and delivery throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure operators follow procedures and maintain consistent work practices.
• Train operators and coordinate apprentice activities and train apprentices in proper machining practices.
• Ensure hours on jobs are recorded properly.
• Assist managers in establishing production strategies and quotes.
• Line machinists up within instructions for projects.

Role:

The role willbe focused on supporting our CNC Milling and Lathe Departments with dailyongoing work. This role can include everything from helping machinists set upproduction on their parts to ensuring materials and components are staged inthe correct locations. This is a leadership role in the organization andrequires significant experience in the industry for success.

DutiesInclude:

• Interpret3D models and prints to develop cutting strategies and programs for machinedcomponents
• Workwith CNC Leaders to review and ensure best practice and strategy is establishedand being followed
• Set up and operate or assistoperators with setup of evening shift machining for production work
• Programin MasterCam or review programs for others
• Conduct“in process” quality control measurements and record on supplied inspectionreports
• Monitorquality, efficiency, and delivery throughout the manufacturing process
• Ensure proper procedures arefollowed by operators and that there is consistency between operators workpractices are established.
• Training of operators andcoordination of apprentice activities and train apprentices in proper machiningpractices
• Ensures that hours on jobs arebeing recorded properly.
• Assist machine operators withmachining strategy and programming
• Assistmanagers in establishing production strategies and quotes
• Line machinists up withinstructions for projects

Qualifications:

• MinimumHigh School education or equivalent
• Journeyman,machinist trade certificate or equivalent experience is required
• Certificationor training in leadership
• Mandatorythat this role take part in a criminal record check and controlled goodsscreening

Experience:

• 5+years of work experience in machining, preferably in a technical manufacturingenvironment
• Strongexperience leading teams
• Experiencereading engineering and manufacturing drawings
• Experienceworking in an ERP systems is considered an asset
• Experiencewith Mastercam is considered and asset

Core Work hours:

• 7:30-4:00Monday – Friday
