Job summary

Jaylor Fabricating, a family-owned manufacturer in Ontario, is seeking a Production Clerk. Responsibilities include preparing plasma cutting programs, closing jobs, and tracking part availability. The role supports scheduling, sub-assembly work, and inventory control in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems, welding, press operation and metal cutting machinery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate, plan work and solve problems.
  • Team player able to read and interpret drawings and use a computer.
  • Physically capable for manufacturing environment, including lifting and crane operation.

Responsibilities

  • Produce cutting programs for Plasma operator(s) (custom & generic).
  • Assist with closing jobs and confirm part availability from plasma jobs.
  • Run fulfillment on jobs, analyze shortages and notify the appropriate dept.
  • Ensure job completion and investigate discrepancies for resolution.
  • Assist with scheduling, job creation, and closing for sub-assemblies and sub-contracts.
  • Follow up on/expedite job status with Production Lead Hands.
  • Assist with inventory control and quality assurance as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing cutting programs for the Plasma operator(s) (custom & generic)
  • Assisting with closing jobs and confirming part availability from the plasma jobs.

  • Ensuring job completion and investigate any discrepancies for resolution.
  • Assisting with scheduling, job creation, and closing of jobs for sub-assembly operations and sub-contract operations.
  • Following up/expediting job status’ with Production Lead Hands.
  • Assisting with inventory control and quality assurance as required
Requirements
Required Skills
  • Experience: Must possess skills, training or knowledge in ERP systems, welding, press operation, and metal cutting machinery
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to coordinate and plan work activities and the ability to problem solve
  • The ability to work as a member of team.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting production and assembly drawings.
  • The ability to use a computer, including ERP systems
  • The physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to light and heavy lifting.
  • Forklift and crane experience

Hours:

Here at Jaylor you would be working a 4x10 shift, meaning you get a long weekend—every weekend. Part-time option of approximately 20 hours per week can be discussed.

Pay:

$23.00 - $25.25/hour (We offer competitive wages based on skill and experience)

Work Location:

This role requires you to work in person at our main location, located at 071213 10th Line, Orton ON.
