Job summary

Brandon School Division is accepting applications for a Production Chef at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary. You will work as part of a team to prepare food production aligned with the Culinary Arts curriculum.

You will supervise students and Educational Assistants, assist in catering functions, and coordinate with the Culinary Arts Instructor to ensure kitchen activities run smoothly. Applicants must hold a Commercial Cooking Certificate, Food Safe accreditation, and First Aid/CPR

Job description

Brandon School Division is currently accepting applications for a Production Chef at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary.

Deadline for receipt of applications is 12:00 noon, Friday, October 16, 2026.

Purpose of Position

The Production Chef works as part of a team to prepare food production to coordinate curriculum prepared by Culinary Arts Instructor and assists in food preparation for catering functions. This position works closely with students in food preparation and is responsible for the supervision of students and the Educational Assistants (Vocational/Culinary Arts).

Duties and Responsibilities

Are established by the School Principal within the parameters of the job profile.

Required Qualifications

• Commercial Cooking Certificate.
• Food Safe Accreditation.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Demonstrated ability to follow standardized work methods and processes while working with children to support learning.
• Effective basic knowledge of computers and office software for use in tracking invoices, stock and purchases, email communication and internet searches.
• Effective moderate reading, mathematical and interpersonal/communication skills, as well as basic writing skills.
• Class 5 Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum two years work experience in relevant area since obtaining Red Seal Chef Certification.
• WHMIS Training.
