Job summary

Precision Record Pressing is seeking a QA Auditor for its Burlington production team. The role partners with Quality Assurance to inspect products and materials against customer specs and company standards. This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift rotation and possible premium for afternoon hours.

Candidates must reside in Canada and be authorized to work without sponsorship. The job requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Qualifications

• 1 year of quality inspection, auditing and testing experience required.
• Must wear proper PPE and CSA steel-toed safety boots.
• Willing to work all shifts and overtime as needed.
• Must meet physical demands of the job.
• Excellent electronic, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good judgement for process improvement.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities in a team environment.
• Proficient use of precision tools (measuring tools, microscope, audio software).
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel (reading and entering data on spreadsheets) required.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and production schedules to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
• Perform visual audits of parts with defined tolerances and customer specs.
• Verify labels and colours match work orders.
• Operate audio software to identify defects.
• Load stampers onto audio software.
• Compare audio quality of stampers to masters.
• Document test results and communicate findings to Production staff.
• Flag defects promptly and inspect issues as identified.
• Use precision tools to identify issues within stamper grooves.
• Document first offs and stamper changes in software database.
• Report defects to Production team or Team Leader.
• Help reduce waste by quick defect identification.
• Collaborate with team to maximize productivity and communicate issues clearly.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and production area.

We are currently looking for a PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE (QA AUDITOR) to join our BURLINGTON team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will work with the Quality Assurance department to examine products and materials to ensure that customer specifications and company standards are met. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment!

This position operates on a weekly rotation of day (7am-3pm) and afternoon (3pm-11pm) shift basis and is eligible for shift premium.

Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and production schedules to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
• Maintain a constant visual on parts produced by performing visual audits using defined company tolerances and identified customer specifications.
• Verify labels and colours match work orders.
• Operate custom audio software to identify audio defects.
• Load stampers onto audio software
• Compare and contrast audio quality of stampers to masters provided
• Verify or adjust defects based on results identified from software and listening experience
• Save and communicate results of test press to Production staff
• Flag and inspect defects immediately as they are identified
• Use precision tools to identify issues within grooves of stamper
• Document first offs and stamper changes into software database
• Report identified defects and product malfunctions to appropriate parties (Production department, Team leader etc.)
• Work to reduce waste in all forms by accurately and quickly identifying defects
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency by effectively communicating issues as they are identified.
• Ensure documentation is completed and is accurate
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned production area at all times.
• Ensure to work following company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by Team Leader or designate

Physical Demands

• Required to stand for long periods of time (duration of shift)
• Involves repetitive motions; use of hands and wrist continuously in a controlled environment.
• Must be able to carry, push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
• Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather conditions.
• Adaptable to relative sound pressure levels
• Good eyesight and hearing required; must be able to visually and audibly detect defects.

Requirements/Qualifications

• 1 year of quality inspection, auditing and testing experience required
• Use of proper PPE while performing functions, CSA steel toed safety boots are mandatory.
• Must be willing to work all shifts & to work overtime as business needs require.
