Job summary

Sunrise Markets Inc. in Vancouver, BC is hiring for a Permanent Full-time Production Worker to support tofu processing, frying, drink preparation, and raw materials handling on-site. The role requires physical fitness, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will join a busy production floor, lift 25–50 lbs, and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends to meet daily targets, reporting issues to management and maintaining a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a food manufacturing plant a definite asset.
• Experience on an assembly line a definite asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Cut and form tofu, fry, process drinks and handle raw materials.
• Report production abnormalities to management (unsafe conditions, machinery issues, quality concerns, or material problems).
• Team with other employees and leadheads to meet daily production volumes.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the production floor and soybean unloading area.
• Substitute for other workers during meal breaks.

• Report any production abnormalities to Production management, such as unsafe working condition, machinery problems, product quality problems or problems with raw materials / supplies.
• Teamwork with other employees and leadheads to meet the daily scheduled production volumes.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the production floor and soybean unloading area.
• Substitute for other workers during meal break.

• Experience in working in a food manufacturing plant a definite asset
• Experience in working in an assembly line a definite asset
• Good verbal and written English language skills

• Detail oriented and ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision

Work Conditions

• Permanent Full-time position (40 hours per week), available for shift work
• Work is performed 100% in production facility
• Exposure to noise and a wet temperature varied environment when in the production area
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs
• Required to lift 25 – 50 lbs material
• Wearing of company provided Uniform and other Personal Protective Equipment is required as applicable
