Summary

As a Production Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing our production operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production staff.   • Usually works three to five days a week, with overtime as required based on production need

Principal And Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily production or warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve performance goals and maintain high levels of productivity.
  • Monitor production schedules, workflows, and inventory levels to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance QA and USDA.
  • Assist in the development of operational reports and performance metrics.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
  • High School or equivalent preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one (1) employer within the past (1) year.

Experience Preferred

  • Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role in a distribution / production / manufacturing environment preferred.

Environmental Factors And Physical Requirements

When in a plant environment :

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs by reaching, bending, and pushing boxes.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required.
  • May work in an environment with varying temperatures between 25 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May handle product varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
