Production Associate - Box Build & Test SHIFT PREMIUM (3:30pm to 12:00 midnight)

Job Overview

As a member of CWDS’s Production Box Build Test team, you will set up and test complex circuit cards, graphics cards, and single board computers. Responsibilities include assembly, calibration with engineers, rework, quality testing, troubleshooting networking setups, switches, routers, and computers with Linux/Windows OS, including Cisco products. Mechanical skills are required for working with small circuit boards, harness and fiber cables, reading schematics, and dismantling/re-assembling electronic parts in confined chassis. Multi-tasking, communication skills, and supporting engineers in experiments are essential.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Set up and perform tests using manual test equipment following procedures.
  2. Identify non-conforming products and provide feedback.
  3. Troubleshoot and swap parts/cards as needed.
  4. Suggest process improvements.
  5. Perform ATPs and JTAG testing.
  6. Conduct box build run-in and system testing.
  7. Attend product test training.
  8. Maintain a safe work environment.
  9. Support 3-shift rotation, currently on afternoon shift.
  10. Setup/remove test equipment and complete logs/reports.
  11. Assemble mechanical parts according to drawings and BOMs, apply adhesives or underfill as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience in PWB assembly or box build environment.
  • Experience with test procedures and supporting documents.
  • Technical writing skills are a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge.
  • Mechanical assembly experience, capable of working with small circuit boards, harness, and fiber optic cables.
  • Ability to read schematics and assembly instructions for dismantling and reassembling electronics in confined chassis.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, familiar with DOS and Windows OS.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • LEAN manufacturing, SAP, and MES experience are assets.
  • Post-secondary education in Electronic Technology or equivalent, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
