Overview

Full-time permanent Production Assistant (Warehouse) in Etobicoke, at Kipling Avenue & Evans Avenue (TTC accessible). Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. Salary: $17.20–$19 per hour, commensurate with experience. Located in a sunlit warehouse with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Handle, store, receive, and track incoming and outgoing fabric shipments
• Clean (and/or repair) fabrics
• Maintain a clean and tidy facility
• Look up information on our computerized system to check incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy, and pick and package these orders according to order forms
• Engage with our customers to assess the condition of the fabrics during any drop-off or pick-up of fabrics

• Physically fit and able to lift/carry 60 lbs or more throughout the workday
• Experience working in a warehouse or general logistics position
• Experience in a customer-service or customer-facing role
• A basic mechanical inclination or comfortability using simple hand tools (e.g., hammer, screwdriver)
• A valid driver’s license
• Assets (not required): average proficiency with Microsoft Excel for basic data entry
• Experience with sewing, fabrics, or design in any capacity
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in fashion, design, or similar
