Materialistic, a specialty fabric house, is seeking a Production Assistant for a full-time role in their Etobicoke warehouse. We’re Materialistic, a specialty fabric house providing green and blue screens, backdrops, drapery, technical fabrics, and custom soft goods for films, television, and various entertainment industries. We’re looking for a new Production Assistant with a willingness to learn, and we hope that search ends now, with you.
You will be our resident jack-of-all-trades, take part in collaborative problem solving, and channel your inner MacGyver, as we find unexpected solutions together. Our work ebbs and flows depending on our projects, meaning some days you’ll have variety in your tasks, and others you may be completing a consistent, larger task for a longer time. Each production we work with has unique and specific needs, and the physical work will keep you on the move all day. Unlike most warehouse jobs, you’ll get to interact with our customers. This is a full-time permanent position, offering $17.20-19 per hour, plus vacation and overtime. You’ll work Monday to Friday in our sunlit warehouse in Etobicoke, from 9:00-5:00 pm, with flexibility as needed. We’re a small company doing elite work, working closely with the owner, who has over 25 years in the entertainment industries. This is your chance to become an expert in fabrics and their role in film productions.
