Job Summary
We’re hiring a Production Assistant who thrives in a hands-on environment and eager to learn the science and structure behind premium skincare production. This key role supports our Manufacturing Production Manager, with the long-term goal of becoming confident in formulation, overseeing Quality Control & Assurance, and training future team members in Seaflora’s high standards and unique processes.
Success in this position requires precision, consistency, and a proactive mindset. You’ll be expected to follow strict SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), maintain batch documentation, and grow into a leadership role on the production floor. What You’ll Be Doing

Role Details
Hours: We’re open to part-time or full-time for the right candidate — let us know what works best for you.
Wage: $21-$23/hr, with performance-based reviews and leadership growth opportunities.
Location: Seaflora Head Office – 2105 Otter Point Road, Sooke
Reports To: Production Manager
Skills & Qualifications
– Familiarity with SOPs, GMP, or food/beauty manufacturing preferred
– Strong computer skills (spreadsheets, inventory systems, data entry)
– Experience in high-volume kitchens, production environments, or formulation is an asset
– Physically able to lift 40–60 lbs and stand for extended periods
– Fast learner with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Formulation
– Assist in producing Seaflora products by following SOPs and batch records
– Learn to execute formulations precisely and repeatably
– Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment
– Pick and pack orders accurately
Quality Control & Assurance
– Support all QC/QA programs with accurate documentation and traceability
– Perform quality checks on raw materials, batches, and final products
– Ensure compliance with internal and external standards
– Review and improve procedures over time
Inventory & Operations
– Monitor raw material and packaging inventory
– Place and receive supply orders, update stock records
– Communicate needs clearly in production meetings
Leadership Development
– Master formulation SOPs to train future team members
– Identify efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and operational improvements
– Support cross-functional teams as needed
