Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

Your Responsibilities:

The Production Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager - Huntington and oversees the first shift production activities at Huntington. Responsibilities include monitoring employee schedules, workloads, and plant production, ensuring safety, environmental, quality, and efficiency goals are met, and maintaining accountability among operators. The role also involves managing the Quality Control testing lab, staff training, and related projects.

Specifically, the Production Supervisor, Lab Manager will:

• Supervise daily, weekly, and monthly shift activities, including overtime and weekend coverage.
• Direct operators in batch production, container filling, and inventory management.
• Assist in scheduling production orders and ensuring schedules are met.
• Monitor performance, conduct employee reviews, and address strengths and weaknesses.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental policies, housekeeping, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Conduct audits of plant and QC lab processes.
• Support plant certification initiatives.
• Manage operator training, including safety and job skills.
• Abide by Union Contract Agreements.
• Represent FUCHS professionally with employees and customers.
• Act as the main manufacturing shift contact for batch updates.
• Manage inventory and develop Kanban levels to prevent production delays.
• Utilize SAP and Microsoft Office for process monitoring and analysis.
• Conduct safety, communication, and pre-shift meetings.
• Audit SAP movements and manage laboratory efficiency and issue resolution.
• Supervise order completion and support coverage for absences.
• Collaborate with R&D on batch improvements and inventory management.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the operations manager.

Supervisory responsibility:

• Directly supervises employees on the 1st shift.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• College degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Engineering, Operations, etc.) required.
• 5+ years of experience in a batch manufacturing environment preferred.
• 3+ years in a lab setting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written forms.
• Effective teamwork and relationship-building skills.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience with ISO/TS/IATF standards preferred.
• Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 6S experience preferred.
